Backed by $350 million in equity investment and $300 million in financing, Spirit aims to equitize $795 million in debt and emerge from bankruptcy by early 2025. Surprising Spike in Cruise Travel Amid Record Thanksgiving Travel Numbers

Nearly 80 million Americans are expected to travel this Thanksgiving, surpassing pre-pandemic levels and setting a new record, according to AAA. While road trips remain the top choice, a surprising trend is the 20% increase in cruise bookings compared to last year, with both domestic and international sailings growing in popularity. This surge contributed to an 18% jump in travel by "other modes," including buses and trains. AAA attributes the rise to the appeal of stress-free cruising during the holiday season. With lower gas prices and discounted international flights, this Thanksgiving is shaping up as a busy time across all travel modes.
