United Airlines Elevates The Economy Experience

United Airlines is giving its economy cabin a premium upgrade by expanding its wine offerings, starting October 1. Passengers can now enjoy a new rosé and exclusive brut bubbles from women-owned brands, Just Enough Wines and Maker Wine, alongside traditional red and white options. These wines, served in recyclable 250ml cans for $12, offer a more sustainable option by reducing single-use plastic bottles by 4.7 million annually. With over 20 million glasses of wine served system-wide this year—1.5 times more than beer or spirits—United is betting big on offering a higher-quality experience in economy class. This refresh is part of the airline’s broader effort to elevate its food and beverage program, introducing premium options from renowned brands and focusing on sustainability, ensuring travelers can enjoy a more refined, eco-friendly inflight experience.
